Astronauts Kayla Barron and Raja Chari aboard the International Space Station (ISS) will install and assemble the ‘modification kits’ needed to update the solar arrays during today’s spacewalk. The two astronauts will spend a total of 6.5 hours in space.
Solar arrays on the ISS absorb sunlight to provide electrical power to the ongoing operations of the orbiting platform, as well as the numerous research and science studies conducted every day.
